What you will learn:

  • Illustration / Fashion Mood Board
  • Garment Construction
  • Make a Cushion or Teddy Bear
  • Learn the Basics of Sewing and How to use the Sewing Machine
  • Pattern Making (simple)/ How to cut a Simple Pattern
  • Safe Practices and Proper use of Equipment
  • Learn the different types of Fabrics and how to choose the appropriate one for projects

What you will need to bring along:

  • Fabric and calico
  • Fabric and paper scissors
  • Sharp trimming scissors
  • Dressmaker’s pins
  • Tape measure
  • Tailors chalk
  • Dressmaker’s tracing wheel
  • Tracing paper
  • A selection of hand sewing needles and threads
  • Notepad and pens, pencils, sharpener and an eraser

Time and Duration:

  • Saturday’s @ 10:30 - 14:00 (4 weeks - once a week)

If the scheduled time is not convenient, please feel free to contact us, and we will gladly arrange an alternative date for you.

Note:

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students
  • You are generally expected to spend some time outside of class for the completion of the activities, hence it is advisable to have a sewing machine at home
