Pattern Making for Beginners: Bodices

What you will learn:
This course will provide you with a thorough introduction to the core skills of pattern making, enabling you to draft simple patterns and have a bodice block. You will be able to manipulate your pattern to varieties of bodice styles. By completing this course, you'll be able to operate a sewing machine, and create a simple Bodice toil.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Make basic pattern adjustments with simple techniques
• Select appropriate fabrics for your projects
• Understand and follow pattern terminology
• Use a sewing machine safely and effectively
• Construct and finish a garment to a high standard (for fast learners)

What you will need to bring along:

• Fabric and calico
• Fabric and paper scissors
• Sharp trimming scissors
• Dressmaker’s pins
• Tape measure
• Tailors chalk
• Dressmaker’s tracing wheel
• Tracing paper
• A selection of hand sewing needles and threads
• Notepad and pens, pencils, sharpener and an eraser
  

Time and Duration:

• Saturday’s @ 15:00 - 18:30 (6 weeks - once a week).
