Trouser Making

What you'll learn:

Learn how to create a pair of ready-to-wear trousers for men or women, from a flat pattern to the final finished product. This course combines both production and craft methods. You will receive a basic trousers pattern, with options for personal customization based on your skill level. You'll master techniques for sewing side seam pockets, a zip front fly, and a waistband, as well as learn how to press the completed trousers.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the pattern and its requirements
• Lay out, mark, and cut out trousers
• Sew darts, slant pockets, a zip front fly, and hemming stitches
• Apply correct pressing techniques throughout construction and on the finished garment
