Introduction to the Sewing Machine

What you'll learn:

This course is perfect if you're interested in making clothes. We'll help you become comfortable with a sewing machine, teaching you how to set it up correctly and troubleshoot issues. You'll get hands-on experience with different stitches, both with guidance and on your own. At the end of this course students will sew a garment of choice: a skirt or top.

For this course, it is required for students to understand the English language.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Use your sewing machine's features effectively

• Create basic seams and finishes, and carry out various sewing tasks on your own

• Troubleshoot and resolve common sewing machine issues

What you will need to bring along:

• Non-static fabric
• Fabric scissors
  
• Dressmaker’s pins
• Tape measure
• Tailors chalk
  
• A selection of hand sewing needles and threads
• Notepad and pen
  

Time and Duration:

• Tuesday’s @ 10:30 - 14:00 (2 weeks - once a week)
